Art Idol is a Thai comedy type of movie which is about Art, an artist wannabe, he wanted to become a popular artist so that the girls who fancies art will idolized him just like his idol, Mo, a part of the popular artist trio named 3M and became Art's teacher into his way to success in the field of arts. Art tried his best to learn and as time went by, he improved, but he just ended up copying Mo's work.

The movie was fun the whole time, of course it was comedy film, but I found some jokes were unnecessary and they were all over the place, untimely humor as I would call it. I also found the actors and actresses overdoing their acting especially when hitting a scene with humor like the characters weren't spontaneous enough but still funny though. I also found the acting of the casts dull, they were not able to portray genuine emotions especially with the scenes that need to show sadness.

But on the good side, the film has a deeper meaning compared to what I've expected when I was watching it. It showed that we sometimes lose the right path to success, that we try do what others could do greatly and we tend to imitate their success that we forget our own individual and unique talents and skills that we do have. And a plus factor also, the film showed a variety of entertaining acts like there were also singing, rapping and dancing scenes as if it was a musical show which really show how Thai people have a great passion into music because I have seen a lot of Thai movies and TV series presented skills in songwriting, singing and playing musical instruments.

It was not really a great movie but certainly it was not the worst though. It is still worth to watch as I would compare it to other films out there. And if I would rate this film, it would score of about seven out of a 10.
