Surplus in the quantity of nursing graduates is undeniable. Most of these nurses pursue volunteer work after they passed the Nursing Licensure Examination but not all are in favor of these "forced" volunteer and I am one of those. I, myself, is a nurse graduate and even passed the board examination but currently working outside the nursing field.
I was fortunate enough since I have been able to work as a company nurse after I passed the licensure examination but I opted to resigned because of some reason and one of those reason was the salary.
But I am here to guide you to look for an alternate job for us nurses. Below is the Top 5 list of alternate jobs.
Top 5: Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Industry: Call Center / Medical Transcription / Medical Encoding
When I was still waiting for the results of the licensure examination, I decided to work as a call center representative since I don't wanna be stagnant at home, unproductive. So there goes, I went job hunting for this call center post but unfortunately, there were some firm that does not accept nursing graduates to apply but no problem with it. There are a lot of BPO firms that accepts nursing graduates.
What is good about BPO industry is that is not limited to taking calls and rendering service to callers. You also try Medical Transcription jobs wherein you will be given audio files and what you have to do is to transcribe them into text form.
Another good thing with the BPO industry is that they provide competitive salary even if you do not have any related working experience. And one more thing is that this industry is easy to penetrate since they really need agents to do outsourcing jobs.
The downside is, BPO industry in a stressfull working environment and most of the working schedule is way beyond the normal work schedule.

Top 4: Phamarceutical Industry: Pharmacy Assistant
I have no personal working experience working as a pharmacy assistant but most of my batchmates who failed the licensure examination took this as their job however, there were also some who passed who worked in this position.
This is also an easy to penetrate job and there a lot of pharmacies around so job vacancy is quite good. But the downside with this is a low salary rate and top to that is low job satisfaction, most of my batchmates resigned from this position.

Top 3: Pharmaceutical / Marketing (Sales) Industry: Medical Sales Representative
This is a good job for you guys to consider applying for. This is a quite good opportunity for you; competitive salary, some companies even have good car plans and provide tablets which you will be utilizing doing the job.
If you have a good communication skills, plus a very professional look, this job is for you! But the downside of this position is that it is a quite hard to penetrate job. I, myself tried to sent out curricullum vitae/ resume but mostly, there were no calls received that invite me for even just an interview to see if I qualify for the job.
There was only one company that called me for an interview and I went there. But unfortunately, I failed the written examination. LOL. The examination was really time pressuring. Or maybe, I was not really meant for the position and a better job awaits me :]

This is a real fun-filled job out there. If you are the type that wants a fun-environment, then this one is perfect for you!
